We still change the clocks… because a man in 1907 fancied more daylight for his golf.

We still change the clocks… because a man…

Let that land for a moment. Not because it serves modern business. Not because it supports wellbeing. Not because it makes any real sense in 2026. But because William Willett thought we were wasting daylight… and eventually Parliament agreed. Then the wars came along. World War I and World War II gave it purpose — fuel saving, efficiency, national effort. Fair enough. But why are we still doing it?

Twice a year, the UK collectively signs up to feel slightly off. Sleep is disrupted. Concentration drops. Tempers shorten. Everything feels just a bit misaligned. And we call it productivity. It isn’t. It’s organised disorientation.

And this isn’t just anecdotal — the data backs it. In the days following the spring clock change, workplace accidents increase, road traffic accidents rise, heart attacks spike (studies suggest around a 20% increase), and stroke risk also increases in the immediate aftermath. All because we decided to shift time by one hour. One hour… and the human system wobbles.

And in business, you feel it instantly. That week after the clocks change: meetings are foggy, decisions take longer, people are less patient, energy is inconsistent. No one quite names it… but everyone’s operating below par. Because you cannot override biology without consequence.

We are not machines. We are rhythmic, biological, and deeply sensitive to light, sleep, and pattern. Yet twice a year, we override that — and expect peak performance.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth. Most people aren’t functioning brilliantly before the clock change. They’re already tired, overstimulated, and disconnected from themselves. Then we add artificial jet lag and expect them to perform. It’s like kicking a table with a wonky leg and acting surprised when everything falls off.

This is why your business feels harder than it should. Not because you’re doing it wrong, but because you’re working against your own system. And no one ever taught you how your system actually works.

That’s where I come in. I don’t do surface-level wellness. I work with your patterns, your wiring, your nervous system, and your actual energetic blueprint. Through hypnotherapy, astrology, and deep behavioural work, I help you stop forcing and start functioning in a way that actually works for you.

Because here’s the truth no one puts in a business strategy: a dysregulated human cannot build a regulated business. A disconnected person cannot lead clearly. And no amount of strategy fixes exhaustion.

So yes… the clocks have changed. You feel off. Your team feels off. Everything’s slightly out. That’s not a personal failure. It’s a system we’re still pretending works.

But staying stuck in it? That part’s optional.
